What is ben9?
ben9 is a minimalist, open-source flashcard application designed for Android. It focuses on efficiency and simplicity.
Is the app free to use?
Yes, ben9 is 100% free and open-source. There are no ads, no subscriptions, and no hidden costs.
How does deck sharing work?
When you share a deck, it is uploaded to our temporary server. It is stored only in RAM and deleted after 7 days or once retrieved.
Do I need to create an account?
No. We value your privacy and anonymity. All your data is stored locally on your device, unless you explicitly decide to share a deck.
How can I participate in beta tests?
You can download the latest version directly from our Gitea releases page or join the closed testing group on the Google Play Store.
To participate in the closed testing group, please reach out to us via ben9-inquiries@ktty.is. We need to add your e-mail, linked to a Google Play account. You'll then receive a request to participate in testing. After accepting the request, you may start downloading the app from the Play Store.
Important! Since the Google Play releases are signed with keys managed by Google, it's impossible to change the source of updates of the app, without uninstalling it first!
